A Gilrose coat helps you to be prepared for anything, including spills. The fabric will repel liquids, making sure accidents don’t mean a change of outfit.

The outer welt pockets on your new coat are not fake, they are fully functional pockets that have been tacked (stitched) closed in order to maintain the tailored look of your garment during shipping. To release the stitching, simply clip the thread in a few places along the length of the pocket and pull to remove. Here is a video to show this process.

Your new coat will arrive to you with two small threads in the shape of an X that secure the vent (the flap above your butt). The purpose of these is to keep the garment from getting wrinkled out of shape during shipping. These threads should be snipped and removed to allow the coat to fall on your body the way it’s supposed to. Here is a video to show you how.
